Steve McConnell

Steve graduated from the Seneca College Farrier program in 1986. Following graduation, he completed a four-year apprenticeship and spent the next decade successfully competing in international farrier competitions.

Steve holds certifications from the American Farriers Association (AFA), the Farrier International Testing System (FITS) which focuses on therapeutic shoeing, and is an APF-I with the International Association of Professional Farriers.

Steve has published two research papers and is currently working on a third. He works with horses across all disciplines and levels, with a particular focus on performance horses such as dressage and hunter/jumper. His practice includes a significant number of veterinary referrals for therapeutic and lameness cases.
